“Moroch and Rolling” with Nikki Sixx
Need proof that Moroch is a really cool place to work? Well, look no further. Nikki Sixx, bass player for Mötley Crüe, stopped by our Dallas office, along with his Sixx Sense radio show co-host, Kerri Kasem, to hang out and thank Moroch’s Western Union team for supporting his show. He was also kind enough to answer a few questions about his life as a father, fashion designer, radio host and legendary musician.
At Moroch, we never do anything halfway, so when a rock star comes to visit, we take it to the next level! We rolled out the red carpet and plastered signs all over the lobby. Our employees even dressed up like rock stars and made fan posters to welcome Nikki to Moroch.
Since Moroch is all about fostering creativity at any age, we invited some music students from School of Rock Dallas to play some Crüe classics for Nikki, such as “Kickstart My Heart” and “Live Wire.” We also gave the kids an opportunity to ask Nikki a few questions about his experience and his knowledge of the music industry.
When asked where Mr. Sixx gets his inspiration, he said it “comes from photography, fashion, rock stars and role models.” He also mentioned that he is very inspired by his fans.
Who’s Nikki’s favorite band to tour with? He answered that it was KISS (side note: KISS/Mötley Crüe tour is coming through Dallas on August 4), but that some of his fondest memories are of touring with Ozzy Osbourne.
At the end of the event, Nikki and Kerri were kind enough to sit down with us and answer a few more fun questions. Stay tuned for a video of the Q&A coming soon! And for more behind-the-scenes action, check out our Twitter and Facebook pages.
