A Minions Mardi Gras

Parade. Beads. Floats. Music. And … Minions?! Mardi Gras, a New Orleans tradition dating back to the 17th century, is an exhilarating two-week long celebration that culminates on ‘Fat Tuesday.’  Here at Moroch, our agency’s promise is to make meaningful, intimate brand experiences resulting in immediate results for our clients … and our New Orleans’ experiential office has done just that! It all began in 2013 as our NOLA experiential office sat down to brainstorm publicity ideas for Despicable Me 2Bello! Why not a Mardi Gras float with those loveable Minions? A big idea for a big film … and what better way to embrace the New Orleans culture! Moroch minions at Mardi Gras Despicable Me 2 opened in theaters on July 3, 2013 and went on to gross over 970 million dollars worldwide. If lightning can strike once, why not twice? Working with Universal Pictures, Illumination Entertainment and the local Mardi Gras Krewe of Argus, once again our NOLA office has immortalized the irascible Minions and together will parade down the family-friendly streets of Metairie tossing beads and putting smiles on faces young and old. Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment will bring Minions to the big screen in July 2015! Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
