Ad of the Week: Be A Man

In light of recent events in the media and as we gear up for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, we’re proud to share with you some pretty amazing work based on one simple premise: You can call a guy who hits a woman a lot of things, but the one thing you cannot call him is a man. Back in January 2013, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings approached Moroch asking us to help lead the campaign against domestic violence in Dallas. We helped bring thousands of Dallas men to the inaugural Men Against Abuse Rally and due to our efforts, Dallas Police saw a 119% increase in the amount of calls received from women and families seeking help and a 26% decrease in domestic crime. But there is still a lot more work to be done and we want/need to do more.  With that in mind, please check out this very special edition of “Ad of the Week” that was a true collaboration as creative, broadcast, digital, social, PR, media and account service came together to share a truly remarkable message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr8iOG_Ar0Q. Be a man. In addition, we need your help. If you are a man, support the cause by uploading a video of you taking the pledge against domestic abuse. To do that, go to http://dallasmenagainstabuse.com and take the following pledge:
  • I will never commit an act of violence against women.
  • I will hold abusive men accountable for their heinous actions and help them seek counseling.
  • I will speak out against domestic violence an d promote domestic violence awareness.
  • I will teach my daughters, nieces, and granddaughters that they never have to accept violence in any relationship. And I will teach my sons, nephews, and grandsons that violence is an unacceptable way to express anger or displeasure.
And if you are a woman, encourage the men in your life to take the pledge. Lastly, if you or someone you know is in need of help, please contact one of the following:
