Morochians of the Month: June

Congratulations to this month’s group of outstanding Morochians! The Morochians of the Month awards program rewards employees who exceed expectations and shine for all of their contributions and efforts each month. Clayton Browning Broadcast Coordinator, Dallas Clayton has the very stressful job of managing everything talent related for the hundreds of spots we produce each month, but has managed to wrap his head around it, and be a trusted consultant and advisor. He has flourished with added responsibility and has quickly become an expert and go-to at all things related to SAG talent. He is a very fast learner, very eager to assist our internal clients, and if he doesn’t know something, he will find the information promptly – and be able to explain it so we all can understand. We are very, very proud of him. Benjamin Castano Digital Media Coordinator, Dallas Ben seamlessly transitioned over from the media team, jumped in to a window that encompasses over 1,000 individual campaigns, and managed to successfully implement them on time and in a way that had not been possible until now. Considering there was a significant level of challenge and accountability on the line, he managed the transition with a fantastic attitude. We’re going to reap the benefits of the new integration process that he is leading and we’re excited about his role on the digital media team. Hilary Plendl Account Executive, Sacramento Hilary has been with Moroch for three years and during that time has continued to show that she embodies the Moroch spirit of Take Ownership.Hilary challenges herself and our team to be better, push the envelope and do the right thing for our clients’ business each and every day. She continues to raise the bar higher and elevates our team. Hilary is a true Moroch-star and we are thankful to have her on our team. She puts the “rock” in Moroch! Keep on shining Hilary! Amanda Piechowski Communications Coordinator, Sacramento Amanda has been in public relations at Moroch for just over a year and has been making a huge difference with our clients. The pressure has been on the Sacramento office to deliver results, and Amanda has done just that. Amanda wrote the local press release for one of our clients that resulted in a multitude of national coverage, implemented and flawlessly executed a social media strategy, and organized a launch party at one of our client’s restaurants that the owner/operators could not stop talking about.  Big round of applause for Amanda on delivering amazing results for our clients.

Wish Night 2014

This past Saturday, the Dallas Hilton Anatole hosted the 18th annual Make-A-Wish Wish Night, one of the organization’s most significant fundraisers in Texas. Over the past 10 years, Moroch has been a proud partner of Make-A-Wish North Texas, and even developed the theme behind this year’s Wish Night event- “Wishes Take Flight.” For the event, Moroch developed graphic elements, designed and printed the event signage, created the website, organized the Wish Kid photo shoot, monitored and edited the Wish Kid video, set up and tore down the event and assisted with partner vendor relations. Much to an employee’s surprise, Moroch ended up being involved in another aspect of the event. Ashley Schwind, an Account Supervisor at Moroch, bought a raffle ticket for her dad for a possible father’s day gift and ended up winning a 2014 Mercedes Benz CLA. So if she already isn’t the favorite child, she probably is now! Congrats to Ashley’s dad and thanks to everyone who made Wish Night so remarkably special.

Matt Powell: Broadcast Agency Planner of the Year

Last week, Morochian Matt Powell was awarded Broadcast Agency Planner of the Year at the DFW Alliance for Women in Media Awards of Excellence. This was Matt’s first nomination and win at the awards besting some of the industry’s most recognized agencies such as Camelot Strategic Marketing & Media, Asher Media and The Richards Group. Not only was this an exciting night for Matt, but also for Moroch, having the most nominations of any agency with eight total. Additional Moroch nominees included Suzy Shoup, Julie Gremminger, Celia Zambrano, Steve Esteve, Ann Marie Bevan, Shawn Gurn and Tom Moroch. When Matt was asked how he felt afterwards: “For me, I think the proudest part of that night is that we had more nominations than any other agency and I was surrounded by my Moroch family…  That was the coolest part.“ Judging for the Awards of Excellence is a multi-part process beginning with nomination ballots being emailed to the DFW AWM database. The top five individuals to receive the nomination fill out a questionnaire about their accomplishments and contributions to the DFW media community, then are voted on by a panel of judges outside of the DFW area.  Lastly, the AWM members vote on the ballot. We are extremely proud of Matt and all of our Moroch nominees for their accomplishments.
